Board Election


The next board election will be November 5, 2024. The window to apply for a place on the ballot for the Louise Independent School District Board of Trustees is July 20, 2024 - August 19, 2024. Positions up for election are: Position 2, Position 3, Position 5, Position 6 and Position 7. Applications must be made in person in the superintendent's office. 
Reminders:
  • Applications are available at the superintendent's office and online
  • Must bring voter registration card and state identification when submitting application
  • Applications must be submitted in person (no fax or email options)
  • Must identify which position sought on application (details at www.louiseisd.org/district/school_board)
  • Application must be submitted by 5 pm on August 19, 2024. No late applications will be accepted. 
La próxima elección de la junta será el 5 de noviembre de 2024. La ventana para solicitar un lugar en la boleta para la Junta Directiva del Distrito Escolar Independiente de Louise es del 20 de julio de 2024 al 19 de agosto de 2024. Board Meeting Schedule


The Board usually meets at 6:00 pm on the third Monday of each month at the Louise ISD Board Room located inside the Elementary School. Special meetings may be called when necessary. A written notice of regular and special meetings will be posted at the Administration Office and on-line through Boardbook at least 72 hours before the scheduled meeting time. The written notice will show the date, time, place, and subjects of each meeting. In emergencies, a meeting may be held with two hours notice.

Texas Open Meetings Act


All meetings are open to the public. Texas Law permits the Board to go into closed session to discuss prospective gifts or donations, real property acquisition, personnel issues including conferences with employees and employee complaints, security matters, student discipline, or to consult with attorneys. The public is excluded from closed sessions.
